How to Use the Print Screen Button
to Save an Image from your Computer Screen
1. Find or create the image. If you
are unable to right click on the
image and select “save as”, you
will need to use the “print
screen” key on your keyboard.

2. After pressing the
“print key”
button, another
screen will appear
over your current
screen. The title
bar will show that
this is the print
screen software at
work.
3. Maximize the Print
Key window so the
whole image is
visible. Choose the
rectangle button.
Once you click the
rectangle button,
the cursor will
become a +. You
will see your
original screen.
Place the + at the
top left corner of
the image, then
click and drag to
“catch” the entire
image within the
dotted rectangle
without unclicking
until it is captured.
Then click your
mouse.
4. Next a Print Key
screen will pop up
to enable you to
save it. Select the
“Save” button.
Then name and
save the file to
your preferred
folder. You can also
select the file type
if you wish. A .jpg
or .jpeg file is a
good one to use. IF
you don’t see this
screen, look at the
bottom task bar.
Sometimes it
minimizes instead
of popping up.
Click on the Print
Key where it is
minimized and it
will pop up.
