... a good Scrum Master can make this happen as well

Learn them how to get better at Scrum

Show them how Scrum will contribute to them getting

better at their job

Try to reach that point where a team is using the

de"ne a clear sprint goal

Sprint goals are a thankful instrument in Scrum to create purpose

http://www.cooperationalexcellence.nl

Scrum is not just standing up and burning down!“

Scrum is not just standing up and burning down!

you’ve got to explain to the team

what the purpose is of Scrum“

explain why...We’re going to estimate these user stories

Why? I hate doing estimates

Do you have a better way of letting the client know how long this project is going to take? Without this we can’t get the budget approved and nobody gets paid.

Hmm.. no

So if we do this estimate we’ll have our complete scope, total guess, estimated timeline based on a bunch of stuff we know will change - but at least it is something. Ok

It’s the easiest way to see everyone related to the project in one room..

You can’t force change on people.

And last butnot least

purpose is a consequence of people coming to their

own conclusions

Resistance will be inevitable...

stay aware of the feelings and reactions of the employees

when an employee resists, an effective leader looks at the employee not as a problem to be solved but as a person to be understood. - @NigelNicolson
