Materials• One rectangle main fabric*• One rectangle lining fabric*• Coordinating thread• Four 20-inch lengths of yarn or ribbon
Super Simple Valance
InstructionsNote: use 1/2-inch seam allowances, unless otherwise noted
1. Layer main and lining fabric right sides together. Pin in place.
2. Stitch layers together, leaving a 3-inch opening.Clip corners.
3. Turn right side out and press. Pin opening closed. Slipstitch opening closed.
4. Starting at one end, bunch together a top portion, wrap it around the curtain rod toward the back.
5. Secure in place with yarn or ribbon, catching a small portion of the valance in the back.

*Rectangle sizeCut Length: desired finished length plus 1 inchCut Width: window width x desired fullness (1.5, 1.75, 2, or 2.5)
6. Do the same at the other end, then two more in the middle, with consistent spacing between each attachment.
