• An organization is at best a structured tool that concentrates abilities towards a purpose either static or progressive.

• Organizations were not built for the people in the organizations but for the purpose it seeks to advance.

• Every individual, machinery, technology, policy and even government within and outside the organization is only relevant to the organization to the extent which it affects its purpose

Writing An Effective Resume

• Think of your resume as a commercial venture where you are a product and your main aim is to draw attention to your skills and work experience.

• Use easy to read fonts such as Palatino, Time Roman of size 11 or 12.

• Tailor your resume to each position you are applying for

• Profread your resume for grammatical errors

• Heading: Your Name • Objective • Education: Qualification, School name, Year (Start

with most recent), Professional Courses/Certifications (must be relevant to job)

• Work Experience: Job title, employer, achievements • Volunteer Experience (if any) • Activities, Interests and Special Skills

• Research the company • Remember the position you applied for • Develop concise answers to likely questions • Choose your clothes ahead • Know the company address and how to find it • If you can, find a staff of the company and ask

questions about the company’s current projects and how your skills can fit in.

• Sit up • Do not look nervous • Greet people who pass by • Do not sleep • Do not make loud phone calls • Put your phone on silent or switch it off • If you find a journal about the company, request it and quickly review.
