HOT CROOS BUNS

100g flour, 50ml milk, 1 tablespoon dried yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar, 150ml warm water, 1 egg, 50g butter, 50g sugar, 1
teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon mixed spice, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon nutmeg, 25g currants(raisins), 40g mixed peel and
50g caster sugar.
Add the yearst, 100g of flour and the sugar and leave in a warm place for
20 minutes.
Beat the egg.
Add the butter and the egg to the yeast mixture. Add
the flour mixture, the currants and the mixed
peel.
For the topping, mix 60 grams of icing sugar and 1
tablespoon of milk.
Put the buns in the oven at 190c and bake for 15 to 20
minutes.
