ELM YEW BAY ASH

Houses are used to separate students into 4 houses and are in a different area in the school at guidance it isn’t a big deal but still is part of the school curriculum and the daily school, smiths wood basis.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

• You must wear a plain white shirt

• Plain black trousers, a smiths wood tie log is different colour, form your house colour.

HOMEWORK

• Smiths wood sports college teachers have put your or childs homework on a website called show my homework where all of the homeworks are set. You will be given a password for it so it knows which student has logged in. and you should see all of the homework’s that are set. For information about managing students homework, click this hyperlink.

MATHS

In maths, the homework that you will get will be either on a piece of paper or on a website called MY MATHS. It is a maths website that has your homework set by logging on to your username and password which would be an 3 letter name and a 3 number password. It also has maths games for learning.

P.E

• In pe you will be having lessons like…

• Athletics e.g running, high jump etc

MANAGING HOMEWORK

• Parents will also be given a password for show my homework to see and check if your (son or daughter/child) has completed their homework. If your child has any problems with homework, you can go to an after school homework club.

ICT

• In ict you will be learning

• Photoshop

• Presentations on power point or office word

• And others all for the education of ict learning used to show people how to understand and also to improve while taking quiz and test each term or half term
