Résumé

S E Q U O I A C L U B

Professionally I am passionate about designing video, stylized photo shoots, and marketing materials to tell a compelling story. Since 2011 my production company, Moving Pictures, has worked with UsFarmGuys.com, KnowACaliforniaFarmer.com, UtahDairyCouncil.com, Snow College, and WendyVonsosen.com to help them tell their stories.

For example, working with UsFarGuys.com, a nationally recognized agriculture blog, I helped promote a fundamental change in approach to marketing traditional agriculture. By producing short evocative video stories of small farmers, and using them in new forms of media, individual farmers are able to connect directly with their consumers.

Marketing is not just a commercial endeavor. Through my photography business, HollyChristineImagery.com, I am able to help people show their true selves. This requires not only designing

stylized photo shoots and videos, but bookkeeping, securing vendors, developing client lists, building websites, and creating marketing materials.

Some clients prefer a formal setting using studio lighting, and others like natural light on location, and I am fortunate to have experience with both.

One aspect of this business that I fully enjoy is being able to design unique announcements for clients of all types - from my gorgeous brides, to high school

seniors, as well as marketing pieces for my own business.

My motivation in applying for this position is three-fold. First, this position will allow me to combine my beauty industry background, with photography and video to help women recognize and appreciate their true potential. The catalyst for earning a cosmetology license in 2003 was an artistic streak, put to practical application helping women feel

beautiful. I soon realized that photography and cosmetology were a perfect complement to each other. I sought out an international award winning photographer-Pepper Nix-and persuaded her to hire me as an intern.

While there I improved my photography skills by assisting with photo shoots, including lighting, location and post-production work. Since then I have invested much time and many resources learning more about the technical aspects of photo, video and design through professional seminars.

The second motivating factor is the ability to fully utilize my marketing education in new ways. Having taken relevant marketing courses from Sarah Petty, the Intermountain Photographers Association, Creative Live, and Sandy Puc´ I understand the basic principles necessary to help promote the Live Your Truth/Dressing Your Truth philosophy.

Third- As a self motivated and fast learner the opportunity to continue broadening my skills and education is appealing. What could be more motivating than this?

My contributions to the exceptional team at Dressing Your Truth could be several. I am proficient in Adobe Premier, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro X, Compressor, Bridge, Lightroom, Wordpress, Twitter, Facebook, Keynote(presentation), Pages (word-processing), Numbers(spreadsheet), ROES (standard photo lab), and Illustrator. I also have pre- and post- video production skills including research, interviewing,

storyboarding, screenwriting, filming, editing and simple special effects. Using these skills I can work with other team members to effectively design and create images, video and print for marketing, website and promotional materials.

My professional experience includes researching vendors and cultivating good working relationships. I thrive when the opportunity to bounce ideas off of others is present.  All of these could contribute to the further success of the Dressing Your Truth team.
