Holi unites us all breaking the barriers of culture, language and even
religion. The sky is sprayed with vibrant colors, spreading joy and
peace over the air. The festival of colors is celebrated on the day of full
moon in the early March, while the earth starts to get warm after a cold
and dull climate. Therefore, Holi remarks the beginning of a
prosperous season. Speaking of colors, it is not just about splashing
colored water and spraying powders, the food is also of vibrant colors

Shakkar para Shakkar para is a crunchy snack having a wide popularity in north India. Even though

Gujjias Gujjias are a must have during holi. It is a tradition in north India to gift friends and

Palak Bhajia They are crispy snacks mae of fresh spinach leaves and spices. Palak Bhajia is for the

Dahi Bhalla Like any other festival, Holi is also incomplete without Dahi Bhalla, one of the best
dish offered by delhi. Each bite of Dahi Bhalla leaves you wanting more. The speciality
of Dahi Bhalla is the diverse ingredients used in the making. A variety of spices are
powdered over this delicious dish.
Ram ladoo Unlike many other sweet ladoos, Ram ladoos are not sweet. Instead, they are fried dal
balls served with kanji. Main ingredients are dhuli moong dal and dhuli urad dal along
with cumin seeds, chopped green chillies and fresh coriander leaves.
Namak pare They are fried savory flour crispies made during Holi. It can be made from both wheat
flour and maida. When served with, anyone wil keep eating Namak pare until the plate
goes empty. They are easily made and can be served along tea.
Anarsa Anarsa is a snack popular on Maharashtra and central India. They are much like
pastries offering a delicious taste. Anarsa is made out of rice and jiggery with milk and
is stuffed with fresh split pigeon peas and paste.
Bhang Ki Thandai Bhang Ki Thandai is a drink made from milk and cannabis paste having popularity in
Uttarpradhesh. A handful of dry ingredients are also made use in the preparartion of
