It is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

It is owned by Anglo Dutch Company “Unilever”.

It is the largest fast moving consumer goods(FMCG) company in India

HUL brands are spread across 20 distinct consumer categories touching lives of every 2 out of 3 Indian.

HISTORY OF HUL HUL was formed in November 1956.

It was formed by merging of three major companies VANASPATI MANUFACTURING COMPANY and LEVER BROTHERS INDIA LIMITED and TRADERS LIMITED.

In 2007 the company was officially named as HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LIMITED.

On 17th October 2013 HUL completed 80years in existence.

ACQUISITIONS 1 April 1993 HUL acquired Tata oil Mills.

In 1993 HUL acquired Kissan Business from UB Groups and Dollop Ice creams from Cadbury India.

In 1996 Brook bond Lipton India limited merged into HUL.

In 1998 Ponds India Limited was acquired by HUL.

In 1998 Lakme Limited sold its brands to HUL.

In 2003 HUL acquired the Amalgam Group Of Companies.
