Helsinki Economics of Crime Workshop

Call for papers: The Helsinki Economics of Crime Workshop will provide an opportunityfor scholars in the economics of crime field to present and discuss their work. Themeeting will contain both contributed and invited papers. The keynote speakers are DavidDeming from Harvard University and Jennifer Doleac from Texas A&M University. Theconference is organized by VATT Institute for Economic Research in collaboration withAalto University School of Business and Helsinki Graduate School of Economics. The conference will start in the morning on Monday, June 8 and extends to the afternoonon Tuesday, June 9. The meeting takes place in central Helsinki, at a historical prisonconverted to a unique boutique hotel where accommodation is reserved:www.hotelkatajanokka.fi/en/ If accepted, accommodation will be paid for by the conference organizers. We are alsoable to provide limited support for travel expenses for presenting authors on an asneeded basis (max. 500 EUR). To submit a paper for consideration, please email your submission toevents@vatt.fi by March 31, 2020. The local organizers will evaluate all submissionsand communicate acceptance decisions by April 15. Presenters of accepted papers andother participants should register by May 1.
