• Free school materials, uniforms, & hot lunches• Incentives to low-income families for early enrollment,

attendance, & parent involvement.

ENFORCE EDUCATION & CHILDREN’S RIGHTS LEGISLATION• By law all children are required to attend 10 years of school, but

many poor children start late & drop out after 4-5 years.

IMPLEMENT EDUCATION REFORM MEASURES • Teacher training,• Compulsory kindergarten,• Nationwide summer school preparation programs for

disadvantaged children.

CREATE PUBLIC AWARENESS “Scoala te face mare”• Media campaign to get poor children in school at an early age –

when it really makes a difference.

• 5000+ disadvantaged children on a successful school track through summer schools & after school programs

• 300+ impoverished families moving toward self-sufficiency

• 400+ teachers & social workers better prepared to break the poverty cycle
