Lesson 2-Character Description

This week

I would like you to write a character description of a character you have read in a book recently. It could be someone from Esio Trot, Iron Man or it could be from any book you have read recently.

Use expanded noun phrases like we came up with yesterday in grammar to describe your character.

Think about what they look like, sound like, smell like, what their personality is…

Lesson 3-Characters: a bit more detail!

Characters in a story

When authors come up with characters, they don’t just need to think about what they look like or their personality, they also have to have an idea of their back story. The events in their life that made them who they are.

Even if this information isn’t in the book, the author still has some idea. Take your character from yesterday and fill in this sheet! Obviously you might not know, but be creative, think about what you think your character might have done in their life.

Once you’re finished, you may write a paragraph about your character, explaining who they are and things about them.
