• Nonadherence occurs when people do not adopt the behaviors or treatments prescribed by their doctors

– Average nonadherence = 50% (ranges from 15 to 93%)

– Nonadherence with medication - low (25%)

– Nonadherence with lifestyle changes - high (75%)
