2. Drinkingofalcoholicbeveragesbeforeorduringspaorhottubusecancausedrowsiness,whichcouldleadtounconsciousnessandsubsequentlyresultindrowning.
3. Pregnantwomenbeware!Soakinginwaterabove100°F[38°C]cancausefetaldamageduringthefirstthreemonthsofpregnancy(resultinginthebirthofabrain-damagedordeformedchild).Preg-nantwomenshouldadheretothe100°F[38°C]maximumrule.

7. Personswithamedicalhistoryofheartdisease,circulatoryproblems,diabetesorbloodpressureproblemsshouldobtainaphysiciansadvicebeforeusingspasorhottubs.
8. Hyperthermiaoccurswhentheinternaltemperatureofthebodyreachesalevelseveraldegreesabovenormalbodytemperatureof98.6°F[37°C].ThesymptomsofHyperthermiainclude:drowsi-ness,lethargy,dizziness,fainting,andanincreaseintheinternaltemperatureofthebody.

temisfilledwithwaterandpurgedofallairpriortostartingtheheater.Inanewpoolitisrecommendedthatthefilterbeoperatedlongenoughtocompletelycleanandclearthepoolwaterandfiltersystem.
Balancethepool/spawaterchemistryandcleanthefilter.Thenfollowtheinstructionsbelow.
POOL/SPA WATER CHEMISTRY:SeeFigure1.Themineralcontentofswimmingpoolwaterincreasesdailyduetoadditionofpoolsanitiz-
ingchemicalsandnaturalevaporation.Excessmineralswilldepositonpoolwalls,inthefiltrationsystem,andintheheatexchangertubesifthemineralcontentistoohigh.
Changingspawaterregularlyandmaintainingcorrectchemicalbalanceinpool/spawillkeepthepool/spasafeandsanitary,andwillprotecttheheateranditswarrantycoverage.PurchaseaPHwatertestkitandcheckthefollowingchemicallevelsfrequently.
CHLORINE OR BROMINE:Recommendedlevelis1to4ppm.Testbeforeuse.pH:Recommendedideallevel7.4to7.6.HIGHreadingsreducesanitizerefficiency.LOWreadingsarecorrosive.
TOTAL ALKALINITY:80–120ppm.Testweeklyduringregularuse.LOWreadingsarecorrosiveandcauserapidpHchangeswhenchemicalsareadded.
CALCIUM HARDNESS:200–400ppm.Testwheneverpool/spaisfilled.
