Who chews tobacco?1 in 6 people from the ages of 15-17 have tried chewing tobacco.

About 5000 people chew tobacco every day.

Chewing tobacco appeals to teens from the age of 14-17.

It appeals to boys more than girls because many baseball players chew tobacco.

How does chewing affect you?Chewing tobacco can affect your body in many ways, but it mostly affects your mouth. It can give you gum cancer, turn your teeth black, give you bad breath, make your teeth fall out, and even cause your skin around your mouth to fall off!

Who produces chewing tobacco?Chewing tobacco is produced by different brands such as “Longhorn, Kodiak, and Skoal.”

Their advertisements aim for teens. An example of an advertisement is “ Everybody loves it try kodiak and you will like it to.”

What is in chewing tobacco?Chewing tobacco contains high amounts of nicotine which will get you hooked to chewing tobacco.

Why chew?People chew because their parents or friends do.
