Guy Fawkes, Robert Catesby and some other men meet in the Duck and Drake pub for the

first time. They begin to discuss

their plan to blow up the Houses Of Parliament.

The group rent a

cellar under the House of Lords. They hide 36 barrels

of gunpowder

under bundles of firewood.

Lord Monteagle receives a

letter warning him

not to attend the opening of Parliament

on 5th November

1605.

King James I is show the letter

received by Lord

Monteagle.

Robert Cecil, the Secretary of State, orders a search of the Houses

of Parliament.

Guy Fawkes is arrested in the cellar under the Houses of Parliament. He is taken

to the Tower Of London.

Guy Fawkes is executed for treason and is hung, drawn and quartered.
