She looked at thenewspaper and decided to gosomewhere where she couldrelax.
• She decided to go to Reykjavik, capital of Iceland. On the way there shepassed Gullfoss and shewanted to take a bathbefore she left. She jumped into the waterfall. After a while she heard a lot of noise and looked up and saw many turists screaming: Get out of the waterfall we don´t want to have you in our pictures. Grýla was so scared that she ran all the way to Reykjavík.
• There she went into the travel agency and wanted to get a ticket to the Canary Islands. But shedidn´t have any money so she decided to go to theairport to see if she couldsneak into some jet there. She was very hungry and she went to the Farm animal zoo in Reykjavík and took a sheep and ate it.
• Now she was ready to go to theairport. On her way she passed the Blue Lagoon. Oh said Grýla it would be wonderfull to take a bath in the hot springs here and so she did. She spent a little timethere and then she kept going tothe airport. When she came thereshe saw a big jet and the door was open. She looked around and saw no one then she sneaked into the jet and sat down. She was very tired and fell asleep When she woke up the jet had landed in Canary Island….
• Gryla got off the plane and was impressed with the good weather on the islands. She decided to go for a walk.
• She bumped into Doramas, a noble aborigine native from Gran Canaria. He was very friendly and helped her.
• They visited Maspalomas dunes and Gryla swam in the sea.
• The sea water was very cold so she decided to sunbathe.
• Then they went to have lunch at “la CuevaPintada de Gáldar” (a painted cave)
• They ate typical food (bowl potatoes with canarian sauce and gofio (toasted cereal)
• Gryla enjoyed the food and thought her Polish cousin would find it interesting. She went to the airport and took the first plane to Poland.
• She got off in Międyzdroje, where she met with her Viking friend, Lech. Together, they decided to walk around Wolin National Park. They went to the Bison Reserve. Gryla liked the huge animals very much.
• On the way back, they went to the beach. Suddenly, they heard a strange sound. They looked up and saw a white-tailed sea-eagle. Lech said that they were lucky, because eagles were rare and it was difficult to see them.
