ORGANIC RESULTS

Paid search results are not affected. The update is focussed on the organic search results.

Google wants to give every user a fast and accurate search experience where the user is clearly king.

Not only Google will determine your ranking in the search results. You will have your word also!

Remember their new social media channel Google+ they launched recently...

Google connects their search engine with their social media channel.

On long term Google+ will probably become bigger than Facebook, because Google has

more grow potential.

The actual problem is that Facebook-users don’t want to start their built network all over

again on Google+...

Back to the algorithm!

Keywords are still important. Put them in every page title and on the page itself.

1

Links in your own site en from other websites are an important factor too.

2

Think in function of people, not robots. The opinion of the user is a new factor. If users

come back or click on your +1 button from Google+ it’s a positive signal for your ranking

on Google.

3

What does the +1 button do?

If a user click on your +1 button your link will appear on his Google+ wall, just like a ‘like’ in

Facebook. All his contacts will see your link. But in this case it is also positive for your ranking on

Google.

So a ‘+1’ is more powerful than a ‘like’.

Google will look for patterns. If your website looks like a high-rated websites, your rank will

rise. But also in the negative way!

4

What do you mean by patterns?

- the length of the title tag- the ratio of words to pictures- the commonality of runs of words- ...

Let users easily share your content by adding tweet, like, share en +1 buttons. It makes your

website popular!

5

Respect the standards on www.schema.org that Google, Yahoo and Bing developed

together. It will tell search engines what your site is about.

6

Location and mobile are taking over.Use ‘Google places’ to indicate where your company is situated. Google will give search

results in your neighborhood first...

7

Meta tags became less importantthan before.

8

Improve your website now!!!

The previous slides are based on common thoughts of SEO-specialists... None of these are certain.

Only Google could tell us, but they will never explain the secret about their algorithm...

Good luck with your business
