What is BIM

• BIM is not limited to the building/construction life-cycle phase• It is applicable to all infrastructure assets not just buildings

• It is a digital representation which can include a graphical representation but a graphical representation is not essential .

• It must be digital (not referring to pdf but to data that can be interpreted and acted upon by systems) to enable the “digitalization” of processes
