Global Warming: What are the Questions?

Question 1:

There is scientific evidence to show that the Earth’s surface

temperature is increasing.

Other evidence shows that the temperature of the upper atmosphere

has not risen significantly.

If global warming does occur

then it could change

our world drastically…

The polar icecaps could melt.

Weather patterns could change.

Habitats could change and

species could become extinct.

To slow down global warming (if it is occurring) we need to

reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.

Question 4:

Some countries are trying to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions but others don’t

see it as a priority.

The Aims of This Lesson:

1. To discuss the issues in the Global Warming controversy, using role play.

2. To form your own opinion on the Global Warming debate.
