Introduction to PD Planner

What is PD Planner?

• Web-based professional development management system within Schoolnet

• Unique views and functionality are provided for Teachers, School Administrators, District Administrators, Activity Facilitators, and System Administrators

• PD Planner enables us to:

• Manage PD course offerings, schedules, locations, instructors and approval processes

• Register online, track credits/recertification, and manage their own PD plan

• Goals setting with CSTP Standards Assessment

• Align PD to student learning standards, professional teaching standards, school/district improvement goals, and competency frameworks

Viewing My PD Profile

Creating a PD Plan (Goal Setting)

Step 2: In the blue ribbon across the top, select Educator Development and then click on Create PD Plan.

Note: Here you will see some personal and professional information about yourself. Check for correctness and scroll down to Goals at the bottom.

Step 4: Choose an associated CSTP Standard by clicking on Selecting Standards and then enter your Goal in the text box.

Note: to add another goal, click on the green plus sign, and don’t forget to select a new CSTP standard.

Note: For your Formal goals submission, you MUST have 3 PD goals.

Note: If you have multiple certificates, you must assign your goals a particular certificate. Some of you may not have a box to check if you only have one certificate.

Step 5: When you are finished with your goals, hit save. Don’t worry, they are editable even after saving.

Step 6: Now you will see your saved goals here on your PD Profile under the PD Plans tab. At any time you can click the word “Saved” to edit or view.

Note: After saving your goals, you can only “Submit For Review” by opening your goals from your PD Plans tab. Don’t worry they are editable even after submitting. Don’t forget if you edit, you must re-submit.
