Geometry:

• Study of shapes• Logic• Measurements

Course Descriptions:

A basic goal of Geometry is to expand the understanding of mathematical concepts and to improve logical thinking skills. Students will be presented with concepts, strategies and guidance in order to improve on their own decision making ability. These concepts will be reinforced through exercises in order to gain mastery and provoke critical thinking.

This is not your typical math course! It is probably going to be the first time you study for math. There is a ton of vocabulary to learn as well!

Prerequisites:

A passing grade in Algebra I

• Geometry tool kit – protractor, compass, ruler (available at any office supply store or Target) (Required by Monday, August 14th)

• Do not disrupt the learning process of others

• Be prepared for each class (BRING necessary materials)

It is your responsibility to get the notes and make-up work complete before test day

If you are absent on test day, you must take the test BEFORE the next chapter test.

Make-up work will not be permitted for unexcused absences.
