TheRailKing®GasStationis madeupof threecomponents:thegasstationbuildingandbase, thecar,andthe activationbutton. Beforeyouplace thegasstationonthelayout,you must wire it to the activationbuttonandtransformer. Inordertoconnectpowertoeachcomponent, thesix (6)enclosedwiresmustbe connected to thewiringposts located on theunderside ofthe gas s tation andtheactivationbutton. Wiresfrom portsA-Ccontrol thecaroperation. Wiresfrom ports D-E controlthelights. Followthe diagram shown tomakethecorrect connections.

Final Touches: : To protectpartoftherooftopsignfrombreakingduringtransit,the sign ispackagedseparately, in a smallplastic bag. To complete set up, p opthecircularpart ofthesignintothe holedesigned for it on the sign base.

Operating Instructions: Once thegasstation is w ired to receive a 14-20 voltminimum powersupplyfromthetransformerand the transformer is turned o n,simplypresstheactivationbuttonto startthegas station sequence.

In order to get thecar into the gasstationservice bay,youmustpresstheactivationbutton tobeginthecycle. Once the smalltabthat w ill carry thecaralong its track has exited thegasstation and come to a stop, place the carontothe tab. When youplaythereturnsequence,the car willbetakenintothegarage.

In thebeginningsequence,the garagedoorwillopen, and you will hear thesoundofthecar engine starting. Thecarwillroll from the garage to the pumps,whichwilltriggerthe servicebelltoring. Once t hecarhascometoastopatthegaspumps,the sound of thepumpfilling thecarwillplayforapproximatelyfive seconds. After the pump soundsstop, thecarwillremainatthepumpsuntil the operatorpushestheactivationbutton.

When youpushtheactivationbuttonasecondtime,the carenginewillstart upand the car will back into the servicebay. Once the carhascometoastop, theenginesounds will shut down and t he bay doorwillclose.

You can stop the motion at any time by turning off the powerorbypressing thetransformer's direction button. Oncethepower i s restored, the car will returntoits startingposition within the baywithout sound effects.

There are several easy-to-change lightbulbslocatedin thegasstation. Follow the instructions below t o change them.

:Popthecircular part of the signofftoaccessthebulb. To replace thebulb, simplypullitoutandpushanewonein,likeChristmastreelights

.

:Popthe gas pumpoff thebasetoaccessthebulb. To replace thebulb, pull it outandpushanewonein,likethesignlight .

For the building and g arage bulbs,youmustfirstaccesstheinterior of thehousing as follows:

•Remove the car from the gasstation.

•Turn the building andbase upside down, propping it carefully.Remove the four (4) screws from the basecover then liftthebasecover off (SeeFig. 3).

•Remove the ten (10) screws located on the bottom of the base. Thereis noneedtoremovethegear. Note thatthetwoscrews that hold thepumps inplacearelonger than theothersand be sure to replace themin the correct location when reassembling .

•Carefully turnthe gasstationback over and tiltthehousingawayfromthe base. Thewiringwill remain connected.

•Replace the light bulbsasdescribedbelow:

: Twist the bulbscounterclockwise thenpulltoremove them.Push in and twistclockwisetoreplacethe bulb .

: Pullthe bulb out and push the new one in to replace it.

Reassemble thegasstationinthe reverseorder given above.
