Remove the barcode sticker at thebottom of the device.

Remove two 8.4 mm T5 screwsfrom the bottom of the device.

Using a plastic opening tool, carefully pry open the device.

Open the device carefully, making sure not to damage the gold ribbon cable that connects thescreen to the motherboard.

Remove touch screen by using theplastic opening tool as a wedge topry the touch screen from the case.

It is easiest to do this by pulling onthe side tab as you wedge the touchscreen away from the case.

Lift the touch screen above themother board so that its position issimilar to what is shown.

Remove the tape connecting thegold ribbon cable circuit to themotherboard.

Peel the tape off slowly so therewon't be any damage to themotherboard or gold ribbon cable.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Lift up the tab connecting the gold ribbon circuit to the motherboard, using a plastic opening tool ifnecessary.

Gently remove the gold ribbon cable.

To insert a new screen in, attach the gold ribbon circuit to the motherboard by sliding it in placeand pressing down on the tab. This may take a few attempts before it is connected successfully.
