Yoga Updates• Come to class with an open mind —embrace the opportunity to do some-thing positive for your body & mind.

• Some class names have changed, butmost classes maintain the format youknow and love.

• Try something new and different — aclass, a teacher, a format you aren’tused to…mix it up!

• Arrive at class on time and stay for theentire class.

• Drink lots of water and take breakswhen you need them.

• It is recommended that you followproper nutrition guidelines to keepyour body healthy, for example: consider eating a nutritious snackhigh in protein within 30–60 minutesafter you finish your workout.

• Let your teacher know if you have injuries, special considerations or arenew to class.

CLASS INTENSITY RATING SYSTEMWhile it is important to remember that all classes can be modified to meetmost levels of fitness, the following scale should be used to help guide you in choosing classes appropriately. All classes have been assigned one to four hearts. More hearts means the class offers a stronger intensity level, cardiovascular workout, more advanced techniques, and/or a greater level of challenge. Consider balancing your workout each week by including a variety of different class types and intensity levels.

BASIC YOGA™

Designed for those wanting more basic instruction on posturesand sequencing. Special attention will be given to correct alignment. Perfect for those who enjoy a slower paced practice.

DEEP STRETCH™

Increase muscle flexibility, agility, and core and back strength.This deep, yet relaxing therapeutic style practice will help you findmuscle length, will release tension and will help prevent injury.

FLOW YOGA™™™

A fluid style practice that links yoga postures together with thebreath. This class is challenging, but can be enjoyed by studentsof a wide variety of levels of practice.

HEALTHY BACK™

A gentle class to relax, strengthen and condition the back.

HEATED FLOW YOGA™™™™

A traditional vinyasa, flowing style yoga class that takes place inthe hot studio which is heated to around 95 degrees with 30%humidity. Each class will be a little bit different, offering a fun yetchallenging practice. Previous yoga experience and excellenthealth are highly recommended.

HEATED SCULPT YOGA™™™™

Challenge your body, open your mind, and sculpt your muscleswith something new—a vinyasa flow-style class with the addedchallenge of light weights used during some sequences throughout class. You will sweat, tone, and experience a rewarding practice with this new class! Previous yoga experienceand some fitness experience using weights is suggested.

HOT PILATES™™™

Strengthen your core and stretch your muscles while utilizing Pilates principles and techniques in a heated room. Bring yourown mat please – only towels are provided.

KUNDALINI YOGA™™™

Unlike any other type of yoga practice, this is an immensely potent, dynamic and effective system of yoga. A slower paced yoga practice that is less physically demandingand suitable for students of all ages and abilities.

RESTORATIVE STRETCH & STRENGTHEN™

Heal and work more deeply into your connective tissue, joints,myofascia, tendons and ligaments. Focus is on tension removal,building flexibility and adding strength. Find a release in yourbody with longer holds and focused breath work.

RESTORE/YIN YOGA™

Release tight and tense muscles while reducing stress. The practice will include long holds including supported posturesusing props. Participants will enjoy a closing gong meditation. All levels of students will benefit.

VILLAGE HOT YOGA™™™™

This choreographed, set sequence is the Village's unique blend ofstatic traditional hot yoga postures, blended with a vinyasa, fluidstyle practice. It will be taught the same each class. The room isheated to about 105 degrees with 40 to 50% humidity. A slightlyshortened version will be taught at the 5:30a class times. VillageHot Yoga is designed to cleanse your body, challenge your focusand provide you with an intense practice that is a great balanceto many other types of workouts. Previous yoga experience andexcellent health are highly recommended.

WARM FLOW YOGA™™™

This gentle flow style practice in the heated studio will be at alower temperature and a more mellow pace than other heatedclasses. Suitable for most levels.

YIN YOGA™

This slow-paced style of yoga utilizes postures or asanas that are held for comparatively long periods of time—five minutes or longer per pose is typical. Poses target connective tissue, specifically ligaments and tendons in the joints and spine. Over time, the practice of Yin yoga can lengthen these tissues, increasing the range of motion. It is a great practice for the purpose of improving health and longevity.

YOGA™™

A variety of yoga styles will be incorporated in this class that is easily modifiable to any level student. More detailed in-struction will be provided. Stretch and strengthen your body,mind ,and spirit.
