The “Power of Us” Community

• The Power of Us Program includes 10 donated subscriptions and deep discounts on additional subscriptions, products and/or services from Salesforce.

• The Power of Us Hub is a one-stop resource center where Salesforce Nonprofit and Education users can find resources and training specific to their needs, engage with one-another, and connect with employees, MVP’s in our community, and relevant partners.

Pros and Cons • Pros

• Great choice for medium to large non-profits

• Very generous training and support

• Community-minded - supporting non-profits is part of their vision and they provide substantial discounts

• Strong online communities as well as local user groups. This will save you costs because many of your questions can be resolved with their Q&A forums

• Flexible platform and customization abilities

• Email Marketing strengths with Pardot and other apps

• Cons

• Due to their very flexible platform, not great for small non-profits without a designated database manager

• Somewhat complex security/profiles/permission sets that need to be understood

• Different ways of doing things so you need to really think through your business process (not a con but a caution)

Last but not least: Trailhead

o The recipient uses the transfer to support specific goals in Fund description

o You feel good o Organization feels good

DONORS As a donor, you are exposed to an extended network of organizations. Schools, animal shelters, disaster relief and environmental organizations, churches, social and ethnic clubs, hospitals, cultural organizations, and many more. They are grouped into joined or separate geographically dispersed networks.

For example: if you are willing to donate or volunteer to help homeless

animals, you can choose from the list of animal shelters closest to your home. This allows you to witness the outcome of your contribution firsthand. This is particularly beneficial when the donation was dedicated specifically towards a verifiable goal that you can watch become reality.
