CEDASPE celebrates its 50th birthday
FULL STEAM AHEAD
F rom quintessential Italian special-
ties, to a visit of three company lo-
cations, to a tour of the technology
museum in Milan and an unexpected
gala dinner in an exceptional set-
ting – on the 17th and 18th of June,
CEDASPE treated its guests to pure
Italian charm.
Founded in 1967 by Giorgio Giorgi,
CEDASPE grew from a small factory
with just three employees to an international
company with three locations in Italy, a wide
range of products and over 70 employees. Half
a century of company history – truly an occa-
sion for celebration.
BENVENUTI
On the evening before the anniversary event,
the CEDASPE management, consisting of the
three brothers Enrico, Gian Franco and Andrea
Giorgi, greeted guests from all around the
world on the terrace of the Novotel Milano
hotel. As the sun shined, guests had the chance
to drink in the Italian atmosphere, talk with
one another and sample Italian food and drink.
ONE MORNING – THREE LOCATIONS
On June 18th, visitors started the day of the
event with a company tour to the different
location. On the tours, the CEDASPE team ex-
plained how they grew from a small business
to an international company and became part
of the REINHAUSEN Group in January 2016, as
well as which products were at the center of
production and what "Made in Italy" really
means. They visited the MECAM location in
Codogno first, then the location in Melegnano
(SAVEM) and the CEDASPE headquarters in San
Giuliano Milanese. Gian Franco and Andrea
Giorgi, along with their team, demonstrated
the production process for ceramic and silicone
bushings, Buchholz relays, shut-off valves and
conventional dehydrating breathers, explained
the most important steps and addressed the
specific questions of the customers.
THE JOURNEY CONTINUES
The Giorgi brothers invited their guests to a
truly special place for the celebration: the Leo-
nardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and
Technology in Milan, one of the most important
technology and science museums in the world.
The hour-long guided tour ended in the Air
& Sea Transport area. There, the Milan techno-
logy museum houses gigantic ships and air-
planes, both on the floor and suspended from
the ceiling. A large part of the luxury ship Conte

Two generations of CEDASPE: Gian Franco, Andrea and Enrico Giorgi (from left), sons of founder Giorgio, celebrated the 50-year anniversary together with Giorgio's granddaughter Nicoletta and over 80 invited guests. As part of the festivities, the guests had the opportunity to visit the 3 company locations.
Biancamano, from 1925, juts into the middle of
the space. Inside the passenger liner of Italian
shipping company Lloyd Sabaudo is the former
ship's ballroom, and outside, on this evening,
the CEDASPE logo shone as it was displayed on
the bridge.
The symbolic weight of the venue had an
enormous impact and generated excitement
for the evening's gala in the museum. Tables
were set for dinner between the Conte Bianca-
mano ocean liner and the ship "Ebe Schooner",
launched in 1921 under the name San Giorgio.
The symbolic location was chosen deliberately:
there is still a lot the CEDASPE staff wants to ac-
complish with customers, suppliers and partners,
and new territory they would like to conquer.
Backed by its own rich history, the CEDASPE
team is looking forward to journeying on to-
gether as part of the REINHAUSEN Group. Gian
Franco Giorgi (Managing Partner and son of
founder Giorgio Giorgi), Frank Schickedanz (CST)
and Alexander Lodig (MS-V) emphasized that
in their speeches, speaking on behalf of the
company. "Not every company gets the chance
to look back on a history of 50 years – this is
an achievement, owed especially to the Giorgi
family, and a reason to celebrate," said
Schickedanz. "We are happy to be part of this
event and to be able to celebrate this anni-
versary with our Italian colleagues."
LA FAMIGLIA
As one big family, the CEDASPE team ce-
lebrated their 50-year company history in
traditional Italian fashion in May with an
employee event at the restaurant "Antica
Osteria La Rampina" with a traditional Italian
meal. "Our employees are like a big family
to us – they have grown with us and with-
out their dedication, CEDASPE would not be
what it is today," said Gian Franco Giorgi.
