18

What Do I Do First?

By attending this seminar, you’ve completed the first step

The school will review your contract with you for the Spring/Summer 2019 term and it is your responsibility to add/readjust your timetable using RAMSS

You are academically and financially responsible for any course registration during the semester

my.ryerson.ca (RAMSS)

19

Can I Drop a Class?

Students CANNOT drop any classes indicated on their EAP contracts. Doing so will be in violation of the contract and will disqualify you from the Fresh Start Program and revert you to RTW status

It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to contact your program advisors and instructors if experiencing academic/personal problems during the term, DO NOT DELAY

20

Finished the Fresh Start Program?

Successful completion of the EAP1 and EAP2 contracts will guarantee reinstatement back into the BTM program (Full‐time or Part‐time Degree, subject to space) and you will be officially matriculated into the program as of Winter 2020.

21

If I do not complete the Program:If you are unsuccessful in EAP1, EAP2 or decide to opt

out of the program, you will be reverted back to RTW status

You are required to sit out for the remainder of the 12 month period

After this period (as early as Winter 2020 term), you may apply for reinstatement to the program (by December 1st

2019). However, it is highly unlikely you will be reinstatedYou may participate in the Fresh Start Program only once

during your academic career at Ryerson. Withdrawal from, or unsuccessful completion of, an Extended Academic Probation Contract will constitute one attempt

22

Your performance matters

If you choose to participate in Fresh Start and then decide to revert back to RTW, it is in your best interest to talk to the school and advise on the reason you are not able to continueIt is important to know that your performance and

dedication to your studies this semester will impact your future application to be re-instated to the program and poor academic performance will likely result in your inability to continue your studies in TRSM

26

Course Repeats/FailuresNo course can be repeated more than twice. (i.e., registered initially, repeated once, repeated twice = 3 registrations) and a grade appearing on your RAMSS for failing the course each time, regardless if the class was passed or failed all three times

The count of course repeats will include any corresponding/equivalent course taken through Continuing Education, where relevant

You will be Withdrawn from TRSITM and any School that requires the course in their curriculum i.e. ACC100/406, FIN 300, QMS 102

27

GPA Adjustment forms: If you have previously failed a course which is not a required course, i.e.

PSY105, but part of an elective group which you have the option to select one course over another, i.e. Psychology or Sociology, you can use the GPA Adjustment form (http://www.ryerson.ca/registrar/students/forms.html)

You must submit the GPA Adjustment form to Enrollment Services & Student Records May 6 (Spring or Spring/Summer course), July 5(Summer course)

-Only the CGPA for the current term will be adjusted. Academic Standings and CGPAs from previous terms will not be adjusted– The form can be found online at

http://www.ryerson.ca/registrar/students/forms.html This will not remove the failure from your transcript but it will replace the

grade value in your CGPA
