Balloon Artistry

Aaron Smyth presents two amazing balloon artistry workshops for 5-12 year olds, on July 7th at 10:30am and 11:30am. Learn from the master in a hands-on workshop to create 2-3 different balloon animals of your very own.

Places are limited and bookings are essential. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Lego Fun, Games Afternoon

Join with friends (5-12 years old) to build some fantastic Lego creations, compete in board games and more. Friday July 10th and 17th from 2:30-4pm.

With School Holidays fast approaching, why not book your children in for some creative and fun clay classes. Debbie Crothers and Sacha Norsworthy will be providing an array of fantastic classes for children and teens, as well as 2 Adults Events. Our clay classes will engage clay keeners of all ages in expressing themselves through clay while learning new skill sets. Students will have the opportunity to work with all the tools and materials the professionals use while receiving instruction from accomplished ceramic artists. Courses include all non-toxic materials, tools, and firing. Students’ are able to finish their creations by painting them with bright colourful slips. Staff will then bisque fire, clear glaze and glaze fire the finished work ready for pickup approximately 4 weeks later. Mid morning snacks will be provided.

Come for a full day of creativity or a half day option. $85 half day or $170 for full day

Symbolic Beads - Adult Polymer Clay Workshop

Symbolism in any artwork is certainly a talking point and to create something with a specific theme or symbolic meaning in polymer clay, makes for an exciting workshop. Debbie will be showing you how to create your own molds and then use these molds to create a personal themed bead.

Flower Power Bangle - Adult Polymer Clay Workshop

Flowers seem to be everyone’s favorite when it comes to polymer clay. There are so many different combinations, you could go on forever and not create the same flower twice. In this class Debbie will show you how to create a simple, yet very effective, flower from polymer clay.

Make your own Teapot… that is also a clock! - Kids Clay Workshop, Ages 5+

Using the adventures of Alice in Wonderland as inspiration, we will hand build a sculptural tea pot as per your design. How creative can you be? What will yours look like? How many spouts and handles? We will then carve a hole to add clock parts to the front of your tea pot.

Design and create your own Piggy Bank with characters from the Madagascar movies! -

The Rock School will be comprised of 2 x 2 hour

sessions over 2 weeks.

Session 1: Rock Discovery. Every instrument on the

stage will be yours to play! You'll experiment with drums,

bass, guitars, percussion, and vocals to see what you like the best. Then we'll be learning a real rock

song together, making a band name (most important) and rehearsing for our big show.

Session 2: Glam Up and Rock Out. You'll come dressed as a rock star, then perform your song with

your band while at the same time as getting a rock photo shoot and film clip.

Sunday Rock Concert: The final Sunday of the school holidays there will be a big sell out rock concert

for your fans to come and watch, between 3 and 5pm.

Dates: 2 weeks beginning 5th and 12th of July.

These classes will give your child the enjoyment of exploring colour and design while introducing them

to machine and hand sewing techniques in a relaxed, nurturing environment. Your child can choose

from various fun projects. All abilities and interests are catered for. A sewing machine is provided for

each child.

Bring along your interesting cotton fabrics and matching threads and we can play around with fabric col-

ours and patterns to make the project of your choice. If you wish, I can provide pre-cut fabric for the Log

Cabin Bag, ready to sew at an additional cost of $25.00.

Current students or returning students wishing to enrol can continue on with their own projects or a new

project of their choice. Please contact me to discuss projects and for a fabric requirement list.

Fancy learning how to juggle, walk a tight rope, or swing on a trapeze??

Then come on down to Circus WA for our School Holiday Workshops!

These school holidays, kids and teens from 5-17 years old can come and try out the circus for them-

selves. With activities like diablo, unicycling, acrobatic tumbling, trapeze, and hula hoop, there’s plenty of

fun to be had, and new things to learn!

Each workshop will run for 1.5 hours, and will be led by our talented trainers, who are all Circus

performers themselves. The trainers will guide the students through various apparatus, and help them

to develop their strength and coordination as well as skills they never knew they had!

Spare Parts Puppet Theatre’s School of Puppetry Workshops encourage creativity, confidence and

imagination!

Each school holidays, Spare Parts Puppet Theatre opens the world of puppetry up to children between

the ages of 4 and 12 with their School of Puppetry workshops. Not only do the workshops involve

creating, making and manipulating uniquely handcrafted puppets, all the participants receive a ticket to

see the current show!

One Day Puppet Making Workshop (4 – 6 year olds)

Dates: 6, 9 10, 13 14, 17 July 9.00am – 3.00pm

A full day of puppet making and learning about puppetry from 9.00am – 3.00pm. The children will also

go to watch the 1pm performance of the current show and have the chance to talk to the cast and crew

afterwards.

Two Day Puppet Making Workshop (7 – 12 year olds)

Dates: 7 – 8 & 15– 6 July 9.00am – 3.00pm

Day 1: A full day of puppet making and learning about puppetry from 9.00am – 3.00pm. The children

Fremantle Prison is WA’s only World Heritage listed

building and one of the State’s premier tourist

attractions. So why not take the kids? They are guar-

anteed to have fun while learning about this amazing

site. Children will visit the sites of numerous dramatic

escapes through the Prison’s history. Along the way their Tour Guide will tell a number of tales of dar-

ing, desperate and dangerous escapes from

Fremantle Prison. This tour is strictly for kids. Don’t worry Mums and Dads – you are welcome to step

inside and do time on our Doing Time tour while the kids are plotting their escape.

Tunnels Tour Adventures * Ages 12+ years

Kids will be provided with a hardhat, overalls and boots before charging their headlamps and locking

into the ladder system for a 20 metre descent into the depths below. They will trek through sections of

the labyrinth of tunnels on foot, board a replica convict punt to explore the submerged passageways

accessible only by boat and discover original blast holes, bores, oil lamp recesses and artefacts from

the days when working in the tunnels was hard labour for prisoners.

Children must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+.

Australia's largest outdoor ice-rink to return to Fremantle as part of three-week magical white winter

experience.

The idyllic surrounds of the Fremantle Esplanade will be transformed into a magical festival dedicated

to the delights and traditional wonders of a white winter. Attractions include the return of Australia’s

biggest outdoor ice rink, falling snow, a mountainous pop-up slide, carnival rides, plus music and

entertainment for all ages.

The Winter Garden experience is completely free to enter, with tickets for the ice skating rink and other

activities available for purchase online. Come and enjoy our pop-up lodge where there will be morsels

of yum and drinks that are fun for the little ones and grown-ups alike.

Baby Rhyme Time includes rhymes and songs for 0–2

years, and is held every Wednesday and Friday during the

Toddler Tales

The Toddler Tales program includes rhymes, stories,

songs and craft for toddlers 18–30 months old. You are

able to borrow the books used in each session. A series

of up to nine sessions is held during school term time,
