WELCOME!
• Welcome to our school!• Our school is in Enfield
in the North of London.• It is over 100 years old.• The building is a
mixture of old and new.• There are 210 children
in our school.
The Church
• Our school is linked to St. George’s church
• We hold many services in the church through the year.
The Office
• The school office• We have 2 office staff
who greet the parents and visitors to our school.
• You can also see our headteacher in this photo – Mrs Gaudencio.
Our Classes
• Every class in the school is named after a Saint
• Reception – St. Francis• Year 1 – St. Nicholas• Year 2 –St. Paul• Year 3 – St. Alban• Year 4 – St. Peter• Year 5 – St. Sebastian• Year 6 – St. Cecilia
The Main Corridor
• The main school is all on one level and the classes lead off this corridor - it is very difficult to get lost!
Our Reception Class
• The children start school at age 4
• They spend their first year learning through play.
• Here is the vicar talking to the children about their class Saint.
In the classroom
• We have 1 class for each year group of children
• Each class has 30 children in it.
• Each class is taught by one teacher for every subject except music and PE .
• There is also a Learning Assistant to help in each class
Our curriculum
• Our children learn through a creative curriculum for example Year 4 are learning about the rainforest.
• All our children learn French.• There are many clubs before and after school
where children can learn other skills eg cooking, gymnastics, choir.
Year 6
• Year 6 are the oldest children in our school
• They are very lucky as they have the new classroom built last year.
• Every classroom has an interactive whiteboard.
The Hall
• This is the hall which is used for many things.
• The whole school meet together here 3 times a week for assembly where we say a prayer and sing a hymn.
• It is also used for lunch and music and PE lessons
Our playground
• The children have playtime twice a day – 15 minutes in the morning and 1 hour at lunch time
Our uniform
• All our children wear uniform to come to school.
• Boys wear a red tie, grey trousers, white shirt and blue jumper with the school badge.
• Girls wear the same but a skirt instead of trousers.
Music lessons
• Children are able to learn a variety of instruments in school.
• In Year 4 the whole class learn how to play the flute.
Comenius
• This is our display for our Comenius project work
• The children can read the letters that you write to us and look at all the treasures we collect on our visits.
