Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the below pictured man, one of three police are seeking for questioning regarding a victim’s Yorkshire Terrier, stolen during a robbery on November 24th, 2017.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., a man walking his dog in the 400-block of North 6 th Street, was approached by a white vehicle occupied by three black males. Two of the men, both dressed in all black clothing, exited the vehicle and displayed a handgun. After going through the victim’s pockets, the men stole his dog and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The Yorkshire Terrier answers to the name “Munchkin.”

Men fitting the same description approached a male at approximately 10:10 p.m. on the same day in the area 300-block of 3rd Avenue West and robbed him of his cash and personal property while displaying a gun.

While police are actively searching for these men, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from our streets. The investigation is continuing as police seek to return “Munchkin” to his family.
