HISTORY• The history of Foot Locker may be traced through that of Woolworth the company's founder,

Frank Winfield Woolworth, who parlayed the idea of the five-and-ten cent store into an international retailing empire. Born in 1852, in Rodman, New York.

1879: Frank Woolworth opens his first "Great 5¢ Store" in Utica, New York. . 

1912: The company moves into the Woolworth Building. 

1926: Woolworth inaugurates its German operating subsidiary. 

1960: Sales surpass the $1 billion mark. 

1965: The company purchases G.R. Kinney Corporation.  

1974: The Kinney shoe division opens the first Foot Locker stores. 

1982: Kinney's Canadian operation starts Lady Foot Locker.   1999: Woolworth's changes its name to Venator Group. 

2001: Renames itself Foot Locker Inc.

country’s largest footwear store.

• The 18,000 square foot store, which opened last week in Mumbai’s Prabhadevi Area , it houses almost everything that an individual requires for his/her feet.

• Foot Locker commits to offer a unique shopping experience with over 100 national & international brands.

• The Store has been designed keeping in mind, better space and visibility for the products and free flow for shoppers
