2. Press ▲ or ▼ button until you will see on the screen the below.
3. Press “Enter” and “A1=OFF” become “A1=ON”
(If alarm is connected to Alarm 1 terminal, visual & audio alarm will energize)
4. Press “Enter” and “A1=ON” -> “A1=OFF” & “A2=OFF” -> “A2=ON”
5. (If alarm is connected to Alarm 2 terminal, visual & audio alarm will energize)
6. Press “Enter” and “A1=OFF” -> “A1=ON” & “A2=ON” -> “A2=ON”
7. Press “Enter” and “A1=ON” -> “A1=OFF” & “A2=ON” -> “A2=OFF”
8. Press “Esc.” to return to Stand-by screen

15 ppm Bilge Alarm FOCAS-2000 SENSOR UNIT REPLACEMENT KIT Rev. 1.01
Thoroughly read this manual to properly use this kit.
Cautions -1 If a 10 copper pipe is currently used for the detection section drainage outlet, first replace
the pipe
with a 10 joint having been used and then replace the whole detection section.
-2 Drain and discard water inside the sensor unit into the waste solution vessel separately
prepared.
-3 Do not apply excessive impact to the kit in order to avoid damage.

(1) Shut off the supply power to FOCAS-2000 and verify the Power lamp (Item 9 in the front view) gone
off.
(2) Remove two detection cables (Item 12 in the front view).
* For removal, release the connector lock.
(3) Stop supplying the sample water and fresh water by closing corresponding valves (Item 6, 7 in the
front view).
Remove the piping to the Sample water outlet (Item 8 in the front view),
(4) Remove screw from the drain (Item 5 in the front view) by using a #2 cross-slot screwdriver, remove
the upper lid (Item 1 in the front view), and then drain water inside the sensor unit.
Upon completing draining, restore the screw into the drain..
Set the detection section – solenoid valve hex cap nut (Item 3 in the front view) such that
the nut is ready to be removed by using an open end wrench (15 mm width across flats) or adjustable
end wrench. (5) Loosen the detection section fixing screws (Item 14 in the front view) by using a #2 cross-slot
screwdriver for being ready to be removed, and remove the sensor unit by loosening the solenoid
valve section fixing screws (Item 15 in the front view).
If the sensor unit is difficult to be removed, first tighten the knurled screw (Item 13 in the front
view) inside the casing for making ready to remove the sensor unit and then remove the unit by
loosening said knurled screw.
* The fixing screws do not drop, thanks to the drop prevention structure.
(6) Upon verifying the replacing sensor unit (Item 2 in the front view) being mounted with the hex cap
nut and copper ball, mount the section at the location in alignment with the solenoid valve joint.
Upon verifying that four detection section fixing screws can be mounted without any difficulty,
tighten them together with four solenoid valve section fixing screws.
Upon the completion of tightening total eight screws, lightly tighten the knurled screw. (7) Mount two detection section cables.
(8) Turn on the supply power, verify the power lamp lighting, and then
open respective valves corresponding to the sample water and fresh water.
(9) Upon replacement warning being displayed (figure on the right) on the display (Item 10 in the
front view), press the [Enter] key of the operation switch (Item 11 in the front view) to return
to standby, establishing the status ready for operation.

FOCAS-1500 TO FOCAS-2000 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS MANUAL
All Focas 15PPM units usually have 3 sets of cable connections.
1. Unit’s power supply. 2. Visual and sound alarms. 3. a) As per MEPC 60(33), one NC contact to stop the Oil Bilge Pump.
b) As per MEPC 107(49), terminal with output voltage which energize the 3Way solenoid valve.
Depending on the vessel’s system please proceed to the connections of Focas-2000 according Drawing 1.3.
If your vessel is:
3a) As per MEPC 60(33) cables which stop the Bilge Pump are connected to “OIL ALARM 2 COM & N.C.” In that case in Focas-2000 the cables should be connected to “Alarm 2 COM & NC”.
3b) As per MEPC 107(49) cables for the solenoid valve connection are in terminal “PS S1 & S2”. In that case in Focas-2000 the cables should be connected to “Valve AC OUT”.
Note 1: For your convenience, probably your good-vessel’s system is as per MEPC 60(33).
Note 2: For any further help you may need with the connection of the unit, please send us a photo of your old unit terminal connection so we can guide you with more specific information about the connections.
