1. Type a search term into the search box2. Click on “Search”

Exercise 2: Uploading Photographs to Flickr

1. Go to www.flickr.com, login and click on “Upload Photos”

2. Insert the CD into the drive

3. Click on the first Browse button and find your picture files (navigate to the DVD Drive (D:))

4. Click the photo you wish to upload, and click on “Open”

5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 for all additional photos

6. Add tags and specify privacy settings

7. Click on the “Upload” button and wait …

8. Edit titles, descriptions and tags and click on “Save this Batch”

9. Click on the “You” tab to see all your photos

From the “Organize” page you can:

• Edit titles, tags, descriptions

• Change permissions and dates

• Create sets

1. Click on the “Organize” tab

2. Drag photographs into grey area

3. Click on down arrow beside “Add to Set”

4. Select “New Set”

5. Edit title

6. Click on blue “Save” button

7. Click on “Your Photostream” (top right) to view your photos and sets

Three Social Networking Tools in Flickr

1. Your Page and Profile – a way for you to reveal as much, or as little, information about yourself as you like

2. Contacts – Adding family or friends as contacts will allow them to see your private photographs

3. Groups – When you join a group you can contribute photographs and communicate with other group members

Exercise 4: Adding a Contact

1. Click on the Contacts tab

2. Type Spring Garden into the “find a person” search box and click search

3. Put the mouse pointer over the picture of the contact you want to add. Click on the down arrow that appears and select Add as a contact from the drop down menu.

4. Check the box next to Friend and click OK

5. To see all your contacts, select “Contact List” from the Contact tab menu

3. Select the most relevant search result

4. Click on “Join this Group”

5. Click on the Groups tab again to view all of your groups
