School will soon be out for summer, which means one thing: summer road trip season. Make

Delayed on your way to Walley World and need to drive at night? Hopefully your car is

equipped with a night vision monitor to find things that go bump in the night. A growing

number of car companies offer it as an option on select models.

In-Car Television

While there’s now the trusty iPad or tablet as a handy portable option, the in-car video screen,

whether attached to a media server, DVD player or, back in the day, a VHS VCR, is the classic

road trip child distraction device.

iPhone Mount and Transmitter

Stay safe by going hands free. This mount from Naztech sends your music from your iPhone or

iPod to your car stereo wirelessly via your FM radio, and charges the device as well. It’s one of

many Apple-related car accessories.

Trying to find your car in a ginormous Walley World parking lot after a long day? If you’ve left

In-car GPS

Yes, your smartphone has Google Maps. If your data service drops on your cross-country trip

though, it’s useless. Get a dedicated in-car GPS device and you’ll make it there safely. You can

even pay a little more for celebrity voices – I pity the fool that don’t turn right in 50 metres.
