Lesson 9Leading Students

To Jesus

Have the courage to askwhen the time is right

Scriptures point to the right questions

“But I accepted Christ when I was young.”

Lead your students to prayfor their personal salvation

“And I hope You do.”

“But I’ve already been saved.”

Men shall be lovers of self more than lovers of God

“People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control,

brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.” … 2Tim 3:1-5

Has ‘being saved’ been cheapened in our day?

Jesus makes it very simple:

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” … John 17:3

Teach the truth about salvation

Not every doctrine is essential

As we died with Christ, we believe also that we live with Him

When you ask for a decision,be in the moment

Don’t wait for the last visitto ask for a decision

There is joy in God’s presence over one sinner that repents

Be thoughtful about timing your discussion about baptism

What if your student says no?

Don’t judge emotions

Invite your pastor to the baptism study

Set a definite date!

Congratulations! You just won someone to the Kingdom of God
