So... before beginning to write, ask yourself….

Is this topic ‘big enough’?

Have I got enough ideas to make this writing work?

Strategies to try.

See if the following strategies can help you to fill your page before you even begin to write seriously.

Strategy 1

3 word phrases in 3 minutes

Did you notice?

Descriptions went beyond just what you see.

Some words were quite specific – hunter-like

Some words were usual but created a strong image –

trainwreck

write more about.

2. Use your thinking time to think about what your topic looks like and acts like
