• Controlled Groups (DB Blind & Placebo)• 61 HIV(+) men participated• 3 year study • 18-50 years of age• Testosterone levels of less than 12.1 nmol/L • Weight loss of 5% in past 6 months.

Results

✤ Increase of 6 lb.in men receiving testosterone alone

✤ Increase of 5 lb.in men who exercised alone

✤ Men treated with testosterone and exercise showed significant increase in leg press, leg curl, bench press and lat pull down.

Conclusion

✤ Study confirmed that testosterone and resistance training paired together promoted the greatest results in body weight and lean muscle mass.

✤ Exercise or Testosterone alone did not show significant difference in gain in body weight or lean muscle mass.
