Valentines Day Jokes
Q: What happened when the two tennis players met? A: It was lob at first sight.
Q: What do you say to your single friends on Valentine's Day?
A: Happy Independence Day!
Q: What's the best part about Valentines Day? A: The day after when all the chocolate goes on sale.
Q: Why is lettuce the most loving vegetable? A: Because it's all heart.
Man: "Honey, on this Valentine's Day, I want to tell you something... I'm not rich like Jack. I don't have a mansion like Russell. I don't have a Porsche like Martin. But I do love you and I want to marry you."
Woman: "Oh, dear, I love you too! What was that you said about Martin?" I gave blood today. It may not be the best Valentine's Day present but at least it came from the heart.
Winter Closings Update
On rare occasions, ice/snow may make walking and driv-ing just too dangerous. Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care management team, with information from Dorches-ter Emergency Management, the National Weather Ser-vice and local authorities, may make the decision to close the center.
We advise families and caregivers to listen to WCEM radio (AM 1240 or FM 106.3), WHCP (101.5), WAAI (FM 100.9), WTDK (FM 107.1), or watch WBOC, WMDT or WBAL (TV).
This information is usually available between 6:30-7:00 a.m. In most cases, we will also have a message on the Pleasant Day answering machine (410-228-0190). Check our website at www.pleasantday.com and click on the “News” tab.
If Pleasant Day is closed, and you have an emergency, call “911”.
Family and caregivers:
With winter and cold weather here, participants are wearing coats and jackets to the center. Please label them with the participant’s name.
In Chinese culture, pigs are the symbol of wealth. Their chubby faces and big ears are signs of fortune as well. This year marks the combination of Earth Pig. The last time this
combination occurred was in 1959. Famous people born on the year of the pig include: Henry VIII, Stephen King, Alfred Hitchcock, Julie Andrews, Lucille Ball, Mark Wahlberg, and Ronald Reagan.

Random Acts of Kindness Day
February 17th marks Random Acts of Kindness Day. It is a day when everyone is encouraged to go out and perform good deeds, no matter how small, to people you encounter throughout the day. It can be as small as saying “thank you” or opening a door for someone else. Think of some-one whom you may know and do something spontaneous for them. As the author Aesop said, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
