Transcript of Fastback 9 - Types of binds

This is Fastback 9 helps by MyBinding.com. While one book cools and cures, you can work on another one,

even a different size.

This presentation looks at different types of binds that can be done on the Fastback 9.

An LX medium size strip works the same way as an LX narrow. Pinch,

squeeze,

and pull along the line to make your crease,

and slide it into the throat of the machine,

making sure the small side faces toward the back.

Then place your book in, jog it all together, and hit the go button.

Since the Fastback 9 treats each book individually, you can run as many different patterns and kinds as you like.

Next up is an LX comp strip matched with a comp cover.

Give it a squeeze, drag it along the edge, place it into the throat.

Put the book on top of the tape, jog it over, hit the go button, and you're all set.

And in about 30 seconds, you have a perfectly matching cover and bind with a leather look.

Image strips are very sharp-looking and make an impact and there are lots of designs to choose from.

Simply select "Image Strip" on the machine and you're all set to go.

Images are excellent for branding purposes, because pretty much any picture or logo or anything you'd like in any file

format can be printed on these image strips.

And then these books bound will certainly make an impression.

The binding process the same as with LX strips except for this time the long flat strip goes in the back.

So, you've got lots to choose from. Happy binding. This is the Fastback 9 .
