Chalayan has worked in a number of collaborations, one of them being with Swarovski Crystals and has had the opportunity to create a menswear line and was appointed creative designer for the German Sportswear Label Puma, along with creating multiple other lines. Chalayan is a fearless fashion innovator. His work includes inspirations in science, design, music and multimedia arts. His work is absolutely breathtaking and revolutionary. In 2000, this collection featured laser cut nylon.

F/w 2000- this collection was one of the most iconic with the runway being set up to look like a living room, the furniture then turned into the garments that the models would wear.

S/s 2007- Women propelled through fashion history with the use of technology – Chalayan aced this concept. This collection featured six incredible feats of technology. The show was thought provoking, revolutionary and contemporary all while being somewhat vintage.

F/w 2007- (first image of 3 from this collection) using the magic of LED lighting, some of the garments lit up into what resembled a pixilated grid. HE was praised for this collection for ‘ covering all angles, making wearable clothes using intellectual acuity’.

From F/w 2007

An image from F/w 2003 RTW collection, that featured skinny jeans, patchwork jackets and mini skirts this collection was insanely popular for being so ‘trendy’ and ‘wearable’ but having a unique approach and execution. Chalayan said that this collection symbolized Noah’s Ark; Hope for humanity after the deluge.

S/s 2009 – “It’s about the speed of our lives and how it can only result in a crash” Hussein Chalayan
