Per quanto riguarda le vie aeree superiori, la qualità della vita è quasi ottimale (6) nei pazienti privi di sintomi, mentre nei pazienti sintomatici trattati e non la qualità della vita è intorno a 35, indicando una considerevole riduzione del proprio benessere
