WASTE INCOMING TO PERMITTED SITES - DATA SHEET
List of available reports, showing waste incoming
to permitted sites (England & Wales) , waste
outgoing (England & Wales), other industrial
waste arisings (England) and materials received by
incinerators (England), all by EWC Code.
Main body of report, identifying sites relevant to
the chosen EWC code/s. Tonnage shown relates
to full-year 2017 data.
EWC Code filter, allowing you to select
particular code/s. Also features a
regional selection filter which then
restricts the data to the chosen region/s.

WASTE INCOMING TO PERMITTED SITES - DATA SHEET
Here, we have selected EWC 15 01 01
(Paper & Cardboard Packaging)
The top block of the report changes to
reflect the single EWC code selected
The main part of the report changes also,
now showing those sites that received
the chosen EWC code, the facility type,
the postcode and the incoming tonnage.

WASTE INCOMING TO PERMITTED SITES - DATA SHEET
Data from the main body of the report can easily
be exported to Excel for further analysis or
annotation. Thus, the EWC Interrogator can be
used to provide the basis for targeted commercial
activity.

WASTE INCOMING TO PERMITTED SITES - MAPPING SHEET
The chosen EWC code is represented in map
format, with the size of the bubble proportional to
the incoming tonnage.
We have now moved to the next report, “Incoming
Map”.
Note the tooltip which appears when you hover
the mouse over the bubble, showing the site,
postcode and tonnage received.

WASTE OUTGOING FROM PERMITTED SITES - DATA SHEET
Now onto “Outgoing Waste”, showing tonnages of
the chosen EWC code/s leaving permitted sites.
Still reflecting EWC 15 01 01 (Paper & Cardboard)
The main part now shows sites that sent the EWC
code material off-site. Note also the additional
“Fate” field which gives an indication of the final
disposal or recovery process.

WASTE OUTGOING FROM PERMITTED SITES - MAPPING SHEET
We have now moved to the next report, “Outgoing
Map”.
As with the Incoming Map, we can now see
bubbles which indicate the tonnage (now of
outgoing material). This is very useful if you are
seeking additional tonnage of particular EWC
codes.

WASTE OUTGOING FROM INDUSTRIAL SITES - DATA SHEET
We have now moved to the next report, “Industry
Data”.
An environmental permit is required if an industrial installation carries out
processes such as refineries, chemical processing, food and drink factories or
intensive farming activities (e.g. large-scale chicken farms). This applies to
larger facilities only, so does not apply to all manufacturers. The permit
requires that the company submits returns on waste transfers; thus, the
data here gives (by EWC code) materials arising from industrial sites (e.g.
Weetabix in the above report), along with permitted waste sites (e.g. Biffa
Waste Services in the above report).

WASTE OUTGOING FROM INDUSTRIAL SITES - MAPPING SHEET
We have now moved to the next report, “Industry
Map”.
Again, with helpful tooltips, the map shows
tonnages of waste arisings from applicable
industrial sites with proportional bubbles.

WASTE INCOMING TO INCINERATOR FACILITIES - DATA SHEET
We have now moved to the next report,
“Incinerator Data”.
Filters available for EWC Code/s and also the type
of incinerator (e.g. Municipal Waste Incineration,
Clinical Waste etc). The main body of the report shows the Operator, Site
Name, Postcode and Tonnage for waste streams
received by the particular incineration facility.

WASTE INCOMING TO INCINERATOR FACILITIES - MAPPING SHEET
We have now moved to the next report,
“Incinerator Map”. Presenting the Incinerator Data in a visual format, it
allows the user to see and consider appropriate options
for the disposal or recovery of their waste stream.
