• Connect to Essbase Application Database

• Drill Through to Financial Data Quality

Management (FDM) version 11.1.1.3

Update Hyperion Provider Services URL

• Launch Microsoft Excel and access the Add-Ins Menu selecting the Hyperion Menu and “Options…”

Update Hyperion Provider Services URL

• Check the “Override Default” box

• Update the “Default URL:” field to

http://<workspaceserver>:19000/aps/SmartView

• Click OK to save the change

Connect to Provider Services

• Select the Hyperion Menu

• Click the Connect Button to launch the Smart View Data Source Manager

• Choose the Common Provider Connections

• Click “Connect to Provider Services”

Connect to Essbase Database

• Expand the Oracle Essbase folder

• Expanding the Essbase Server Displays Available Applications

• Expand appropriate Application and select database

** Note: User may be prompted for Essbase login

Choose Ad-Hoc Analysis Tool

• Select the Ad-hoc Analysis tool from the menu

• The POV selection screen is returned

• Choose the … icon from the dimension drop down to open the Member Selection Screen

• Update the member list for each dimension for ad-hoc analysis using the selection arrows

• The POV tool is populated with selected members

• Click “Refresh” to refresh the grid with the selected members
