EQUITY RESEARCH LAB: DERIVATIVE REPORT 4th April

NIFTY FUTURE

Sensex dropped 67.92 points or 0.26 per cent to 25,269.64, while Nifty shed 3.45 points or 0.04 per cent to 7,713.05. Markets ended the week flat, indicating consolidation post the sharp rise after budget. Expectations of rate cut by RBI led to consistent interest in the banking sector. markets will watch out for RBI monetary policy meeting on April 5, post which quarterly results will dictate the stock-specific trends. We will watch out for legislative action in the second half of the budget session, which will have important implications for the market.

Technical views:Nifty future closed at 7748.75 on Friday. Nifty closed above the 7700. nifty may continue bullish trend further, next resistance for nifty may be 7950.

The dollar slipped lower against the other major currencies on Friday, as markets were jittery ahead of the release of highly-anticipated U.S. employment data due later in the day. ASIAN MARKET

Asian markets finished mixed as of the most recent closing prices. The Shanghai Composite gained 0.19%, while the Nikkei 225 led the Hang Seng lower. They fell 3.55% and 1.34% respectively.
