Organizational Strengths…
• Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI) established Entrepreneurship Virtual Incubation Cell (EVIC) in 2014
• EVIC aims to provide an entrepreneurial ecosystem that nurtures and incubates young student entrepreneurs
• EVIC aims to adopt an inter-disciplinary systemic approach, whereby initiatives will be institute-wide, without regard to departmental barriers

• DEI’s unique & academic outreach program functions in three distinct modes of education:
– Conventional Education;– Vocational Education; and– Distance Education
• Student population comprises approx. 5,200 students with 4,000 students on-campus and remaining students enrolled in the Distance Education UG / PG / Vocational Certificate Programmes
• Proposed to tap into this large student pool to tap and nurture entrepreneurial talent

Vision of the EVIC….
• The EVIC @ DEI seeks to engender within students an intense entrepreneurial drive by fostering innovation with a social relevance.
• The EVIC aims to adopt an inter-disciplinary systemic approach, whereby initiatives will be institute-wide, without regard to departmental barriers.
• These initiatives will be incubated in-house with the objective of nurturing social entrepreneurs who will focus on providing low cost solutions in the following primary domains: Education (Culture, Values and Quality), Energy, Water, Health, & Waste Management.

Chetna
• ‘Chetna’ is open to all currently enrolled DEI students within each existing mode of education (V/e – DEI – de):
a. Vocational Education;
b. Conventional Education; and
c. Distance Education

• Student participants would have opportunity to:
– Learn how to present themselves and their ideas in a concise and effective manner;
– Capture and retain the attention of potential sponsors, investors, or other possible supporters; and
– Nurture their ideas into successful full-scale marketable products by utilizing the state-of-the-art incubation facilities available within the DEI EVIC, together with the support from potential sponsors (AADEIs, etc.), investors, and industry experts.

– Mass production of herbal drinks (such as Amla Squash, Panna and Aloe Vera Juice) to replace soft drinks and colas
– Development of recycling systems for hospital waste as an alternate source of energy
– Development of technology for production of low cost herbal drugs on mass scale
