LESSON PLAN:• TARGET READERS:

– Age: Primary school 2nd course of the 1st cycle.

– Level of English: A1.• TIMING:

– 5 sessions of 50 minutes.

GENERAL OBJETIVES:

• Learn English vocabulary.• Improve reading in English.• Improve pupils’ listening.• Improve children’s speaking.• Learn English songs.

•Work coperatively in groups.•Understand written texts.

CONTENTS:• CONCEPTUAL:

– Family vocabulary.– Parts of the body.– To have got.

• PROCEDURE-RELATED:– Understand and memorize the vocabulary.

• ATTITUDINAL:– Be interested in the target language– Be interested in books.– Cooperate in social games.– Participate in the class development.

TRANSVERSAL THEMES:

• SCIENCE:– Parts of the body.

• ICT:– Use the computer and the

Internet (supervised by teacher)

METHODOLOGY:

• We will use a participative methodology.

• Oral and written skills will be the most important.

• We will promote a positive attitude to learn the target language.

• We will use dynamic and funny activities.

ASSESSMENT:• CHILDREN´S ASSESSMENT:

– We will do a continuous evaluation looking over children´s exercises.

– We will do a final and an oral text.– We will evaluate children´s

behavior.

SESSIONS DEVELOPMENT:• We will start every session doing a

review of the previous session.This will take around 5 minutes.

• Children have to participate during the session.

• Children will do exercises and then, we will correct the activities with them.

SESSION 1.WE KNOW THE STORY.

LISTEN AND READ:

• Children will listen the little red riding hood story while they read it.

• Each pupil will read a fragment of the story and the teacher will correct their pronunciation.

• The teacher will explain the meaning of the words by means of movements.

THE STORY?

REMEMBER AND COMMENT:

• The teacher will reread the story in order to remember it.

• Then, the teacher make questions about the story.

LEARN NEW VOCABULARY:

• Learn the new vocabulary (parts of the body) using flashcards.

• Listen and dance a song to increase the vocabulary easily.

SESSION 3.I HAVE FAMILY!

VERBS: TO HAVE GOT.• The teacher will write on the

blackboard the verbal conjugation.• The students will copy it on their

notebooks.• Then, they will write it in

affirmative, negative and interrogative form.

CONSOLIDATE THE KNOWLEDGE

• We will review the vocabulary using flash cards.

• Then students will do several activities and it will be corrected in class.
