" Analysis approach was developed over time- PRHR Performance (APP-PXS-M3C-020) calculation already
existed- Time to Safe Shutdown (APP-SSAR-GSC-536) built off of existing
PRHR calc- When Condensate Return Issue surfaced, containment effects
(APP-PXS-M3C-071) and condensate losses (APP-PXS-M3C-072)were added at the front end of the process
" Original analysis approach was required to analyze largefluctuations in varying condensate return rates
" Design change to add gutters & downspouts provides moreconsistent losses- Losses are sufficiently reduced / consistent to utilize WGOTHIC
calculation

* Changes since last revision- Utilization of WGOTHIC code version 4.3.1
• Corrects code error associated with incorrect heat transfer on driedout portions of containment vessel exterior
- Incorrect steam table was called out within code to calculate saturationpressure
- Additional sensitivities* Use of ORIGEN-S decay heat to show additional margin• Higher humidity evaluation* Reactor vessel steaming sensitivity* PRHR tube plugging margin

* Changes since last revision- Incorporation of outstanding design changes associated with
finalized attachment plates inside containment- Reference to RAI 6.03-5 response regarding containment
temperature extrapolation- Analysis being used to confirm 18% condensate loss
• Maximum 18% loss conservatively assumed for duration oftransient in WGOTHIC (APP-PXS-M3C-071) calculation
- Additional sensitivities* Use of ORIGEN-S decay heat to show additional margin* Holdup volume calculation added in response to RAI 6.03-3

* Changes since last revision- DBA Extension case provided in RAI 7440 (15.02.06-2) is
now incorporated into Appendix D- Use of LOFTRAN version 15.2.0, which incorporates single
application features introduced in prior revisions of analysis
- Additional sensitivities* Use of ORIGEN-S decay heat to show additional margin* Evaluation of additional margin within calculation* PRHR tube plugging margin* Evaluation of updated LOFTRAN base decks

Conclusions
" Calculations available for audit- Safe Shutdown acceptance criteria are met- Chapter 15 acceptance criteria are met for 72 hours- Revised analysis had minimal impact on previously submitted
license change package
" Long term calculations in process- Preliminary results showing >14 days below 420IF- No additional licensing markups expected as a result of long
term calculation completion
" No additional physical changes were required
