2About Utah Valley University
About Utah Valley University
We are thrilled at the tremendous growth and changes that Utah Valley University has experienced over the past few years, and look forward to welcoming more than 40,000 students on campus for the 2020-2021 academic year. UVU offers 91 Bachelor's Degrees, 65 Associate Degrees, 44 Certificate Programs, and 11 Master's Degrees.
UVU is unique for such a large university because the average class size of 23 enables students to excel through increased access to our exceptional faculty. UVU students also shine after graduation because 77% work at least part-time during school. That workplace experience creates opportunities for students to acquire skills in multitasking, prioritizing, and communicating. You will find below just a few examples of our exemplary programs and student successes.

• Do I need to post positions?Yes! Posting your positions is critical. Pay particular attention to the first three lines of yourjob posting because this is information students see first. Students will also need thisinformation early to determine if they want to set up 1:1 appointments with you during thefair.
• Do I need to list the majors I would like to target when I register?Yes! Adding the majors you would like to target at our fairs will allow us to reach studentswho best match your preferences. Students will be able to review your company before, during, and after the fair. Major information also encourages students to participate in yourgroup sessions during the fair.
• When do I need to submit payment?Payment must be received as soon as possible and no later than 14 calendar days prior toeach event. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if payment is not received 14calendar days prior to the event.
• Practice, practice, practice!Be sure to practice before the day of the event to ensure that your team membersunderstand the Handshake system well and that each profile is working properly. This is agood time to check your audio and visual settings. Lighting is critical! Make sure you are ina well-lit room so your video looks more professional.
• Have digital flyers available!Make digital flyers and brochures available to students. This gives you the opportunity toeasily share more information in a visually compelling way.
• Do I need swag?Due to recruiting events being held virtually, swag is not necessary. If you are committed todoing something for students who are highly interested in social causes, we suggestdonating those funds to a charity in their name.
