ABSTRACT
In the present study we have addressed the problem question to analyse the management styles in
organizations and to examine which is the best level of management responsibility for the
retention of employees in an organization. We assume the extent of agreement of the employees
towards the determinants of employee retention and functions of managers. Also a systematic
review of past studies and literature reveals the effectiveness of employees retained through
different strategies taken by managers in organizations. A need for further study and bringing
the fact in notice was duly highlighted. Moreover managers are considered to be more effective
in retaining their subordinates than !" managers and other management line working in
subordination to the top management. In our study we have highlighted this issue by paying
special attention to it. #ross sectional study was conducted by employing questionnaire to the
mangers. "esults show that mangers have a significant impact on the retention of the
subordinates in an organization. We have also discussed the different techniques that
management can adopt for collective results. !owever the data analysis techniques and the
software suggested likewise future directions and for the research includes increasing the sample
size along with considers more of the determinants responsible for retaining the employees.
